Borrell: EU stands with the Georgian people
Brussels, June 25 (Hibya) - Josep Borrell, the High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs, stated that the EU supports the Georgian people and their aspirations to join the EU.
Borrell stated that if there are no changes in the actions of the Georgian government, Georgia's accession to the EU will be impossible, saying:
"The EU stands with the Georgian people and supports their aspirations to join the EU. Today, we will discuss options to respond to democratic regression. The EU door is open, but without changes in government actions, Georgia's accession to the EU will be impossible."
