Baghaei stated that the arrest warrant issued by the International Criminal Court for Israeli officials reflects the growing global outrage at the genocide, war crimes, and crimes against humanity committed in Gaza, as well as the overwhelming call to enforce international law and end impunity for crimes against Palestinians.

He added that Europe, in its attempt to please Israel, is compromising its moral credibility and siding with the wrong forces in a pivotal moment in history.

“This situation undermines the rule of law, justice, and reinforces a culture of impunity that has deadly consequences for innocent victims and all of humanity. It is truly a ‘normalization of lawlessness’ and a ‘banalization of brutality’.”
