In Japan, the Nikkei 225 index rose 2.30 percent to 69,880.64 points. In India, the Nifty 50 index also gained 0.83 percent to 22,609 points.
In Australia, the ASX 200 index rose 0.07 percent to 8,687.90 points, while China’s Shanghai Composite Index gained 0.31 percent to 3,842.195 points.
In Hong Kong, the Hang Seng Index fell 0.08 percent to 23,952.28 points.
Thus, the Japanese and Indian stock markets stood out with their gains across Asian markets, while Hong Kong recorded a limited decline.
