In her statement following Russia’s escalating wave of attacks, Canadian Foreign Minister Anita Anand drew attention to the targeted civilian residential areas and infrastructure.

Emphasizing that the attacks violate international law, Anand said, “Russia's latest wave of attacks against Ukraine once again reveals Putin's brutality: targeting civilians, destroying critical infrastructure, and blatantly violating international law.”

Stating that Canada's support will continue, Anand concluded her statement by saying, “Canada stands with President Zelensky and the people of Ukraine who are bravely defending their homeland.”
