Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev received Chairman of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus Igor Sergeyenko on May 19.

During the meeting, President Aliyev expressed satisfaction with Belarus’ participation in the 13th session of the World Urban Forum with a high-level delegation.

Aliyev stated that he was pleased with the development of Azerbaijan-Belarus relations based on friendship, saying, “Active cooperation is being carried out in all areas.”

Chairman of the Belarus House of Representatives Igor Sergeyenko conveyed the greetings of Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko to Ilham Aliyev. Aliyev thanked him and asked him to convey his greetings to Lukashenko.

Sergeyenko stated that the personal relations between the leaders of Azerbaijan and Belarus contribute to cooperation between the institutions of the two countries.

The meeting also discussed the organization of the World Urban Forum, economic cooperation, and the development of relations between the legislative bodies of the two countries.
