Zelensky welcomed the IAEA's decision on the Zaporizhzhya Nuclear Plant
Kyiv, September 20 (Hibya) – Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky thanked the General Conference of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) for adopting a decision reaffirming the need for Ukraine to regain full control of the Zaporizhzhya Nuclear Plant and for Russian troops and personnel to withdraw.
Ukrainian President Zelensky thanked the IAEA General Conference for adopting a decision reaffirming the need for Ukraine to regain full control of the Zaporizhzhya Nuclear Plant and for Russian troops and personnel to withdraw from the plant.
"Russia is the only regime in the world that has stolen Europe's largest nuclear plant, turned it into a military base, and continues to use it for nuclear blackmail against our continent and the world," Zelensky stated, adding:
"That is why nuclear security is the first point in the Peace Formula. I am happy to see that today's IAEA decision advances these important efforts. Only through collective determination and principled action can we force the aggressor to stop its blackmail and terror. Every state committed to the UN Charter and common human principles must engage in this for the sake of international peace and security."
