Zelensky: Emergency repair work continues in Kyiv
Kyiv, August 1 (Hibya) – Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that emergency repair work is ongoing in areas of Kyiv affected by yesterday’s attack.
Zelensky said that Ukraine’s Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko had presented a report, noting that urgent repair efforts continue in the affected areas of Kyiv.
He stated that all search and rescue operations have been completed and confirmed that 31 people have died.
“My condolences to the families and loved ones of those who lost their lives. 159 people were injured, including 16 children. All of them are currently receiving necessary medical care. I am grateful to the rescue teams, police officers, doctors, nurses, public service workers — to everyone helping people right now. This truly matters.”
Zelensky emphasized that Russia’s attack once again highlights the need for increased pressure on Moscow and additional sanctions: “This vile attack by Russia once again shows the need to step up pressure and impose further sanctions. We appreciate that President Trump, European leaders, and other partners clearly see what is happening and condemn Russia.”
