Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said an agreement had been reached with Belgium on the transfer of F-16 fighter jets to Ukraine.

Zelensky said, “There is an important agreement with Belgium on the transfer of three F-16 fighter jets by the end of the year. We will work to receive these aircraft through an accelerated procedure.”

Zelensky said Ukraine was receiving urgent deliveries of F-16 ammunition from Belgium and other countries, including Spain, adding, “I thank Belgium and the other countries.”

Stating that Russia is increasing its attacks every day, Zelensky said Ukraine needs greater capacity to shoot down aerial targets and protect people.

Zelensky said, “I thank Belgium, Prime Minister Bart De Wever and the entire government for taking decisive steps to support Ukraine against Russia’s attacks targeting human life.”
