Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenski, providing information about their latest contacts with American officials, said they had received details of the talks in Moscow and stressed that the necessary conditions must be created to end the war.

Stating that they had been briefed on the Moscow contacts, Zelenski said, “Today, we received information from the American side about the meetings that took place in Moscow a few days ago. A series of meetings was held. We spoke before the meetings as well, and now we have spoken with the Americans again.”

Referring to the US position and the steps taken, Zelenski said, “Thank you for the information and for the necessary tone in the talks with Russia. We appreciate the coordination of steps and America’s realistic vision of what needs to be done and what needs to be achieved.”

Zelenski concluded his statement by saying, “Russia must end the war, and all the necessary conditions must be created for that to happen.”
