Zelenski: Ukraine and Germany sign agreements worth 8.5 billion euros
Kyiv, October 5 (Hibya) - Ukrainian President Volodimir Zelenski announced that Ukraine and Germany have concluded agreements that will strengthen cooperation between the two countries in the defense and industrial sectors.
Zelenski said in a social media post that agreements and contracts worth a total of 8.5 billion euros had been signed under 15 agreements.
Zelenski said the agreements cover areas such as defense systems against unmanned aerial vehicles, interceptor missiles and small missiles, radars, unmanned ground vehicles (UGVs) and artillery systems. He added that they would work to strengthen air defense and increase Patriot missile production in Germany.
Zelenski said support for the energy sector is also included in the agreements and stated that Germany has supported Ukraine during the war.
Zelenski said Ukraine is placing orders in defense and other sectors that will provide work for companies in Germany, adding that these efforts will contribute to the German economy.
Referring also to German Chancellor Friedrich Merz’s visit, Zelenski thanked Germany for its support.
