Australian Foreign Minister Penny Wong shared a congratulatory message on the occasion of Brunei’s National Day, marking its independence anniversary.

Greeting the people and leadership of Brunei, Wong said, “Selamat Hari Kebangsaan, Happy National Day to His Majesty the Sultan and the people of the Sultanate of Brunei. Australia and Brunei share a close friendship and a comprehensive partnership.”

Referring to regional cooperation goals, Wong concluded her statement by saying, “We look forward to continuing our work to support the region’s peaceful, stable and prosperous development.”
