Wired internet outages reported in many regions of Russia
Moscow, 16 November (Hibya) – Last night, many regions across Russia experienced outages in wired internet service.
Rostelecom’s wired internet service was disrupted in numerous regions of Russia.
According to Downdetector and Sboy.rf data, disruptions in Rostelecom’s wired internet service were reported from many regions.
Downdetector shows that the highest number of complaints came from the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug, Ivanovo, Vladimir, Samara and Chelyabinsk regions.
The “Sboy.rf” website indicates that most complaints came from Moscow (45%), Yaroslavl region (13%), St. Petersburg (9%), Ivanovo (8%) and Vladimir region (6%).
According to Rostelecom, internet service was disrupted yesterday in four regions of the Central Federal District due to damage to a backbone line. The company’s press service stated that the damage has been repaired, adding: “The internet is working.”
