German Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul made a statement regarding the initiation of diplomatic relations between Germany and Niue.

Emphasizing the importance of the established ties, Wadephul said, “As Foreign Minister, this is a historic moment and a great honor for me. Today, Germany and Niue are establishing diplomatic relations. Thank you, Prime Minister of Niue, Dalton Tagelagi.”

Highlighting their shared vision, Wadephul concluded by saying, “Together, we advocate climate responsibility and a partnership in which every state, large or small, can make its voice heard.”
