European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen issued a congratulatory message on the occasion of Kazakhstan's Republic Day.

Celebrating the 35th anniversary of Kazakhstan's independence, von der Leyen said the country had introduced its unique and rich culture to the world.

Referring to relations between Europe and Kazakhstan, von der Leyen said, "Today, Europe is a proud partner of Kazakhstan. Together, we are building a more prosperous, connected and resilient Central Asia."

Von der Leyen emphasized the importance of building a strong partnership between Europe and Kazakhstan that will endure for generations to come.
