US stock markets end the day higher
Istanbul, October 28 (Hibya) - Major US stock market indexes ended the day in positive territory, supported by gains in technology stocks. The Nasdaq rose 1.18 percent, the S&P 500 gained 0.60 percent, and the Dow Jones advanced 0.03 percent.
Major US stock market indexes posted gains during Tuesday's trading session. The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 0.03 percent to 52,377.57 points, while the S&P 500 increased 0.60 percent to 7,722.60 points. The Nasdaq Composite climbed 1.18 percent to close at 26,477.81 points.
Within the Dow Jones index, Caterpillar shares rose 3.11 percent, Goldman Sachs gained 2.07 percent, and Verizon advanced 1.93 percent. Boeing shares, meanwhile, fell 10.69 percent, recording one of the most notable declines in the index.
