US stock indices closed higher
Istanbul, April 14 (Hibya) – The Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA) rose by 0.63% to 48,218.25 points, while the S&P 500 index gained 1.02% to reach 6,886.24 points.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA) rose by 0.63% to 48,218.25 points, while the S&P 500 index gained 1.02% to reach 6,886.24 points. The technology-heavy Nasdaq index also increased by 1.23% to 23,183.736 points.
The Russell 2000 index, representing small-cap companies, also rose by 1.52% to 2,670.492 points, showing a performance in line with other indices.
Meanwhile, the VIX volatility index declined by 0.57% to 19.12.
The data showed that US markets generally maintained a positive trend and that risk appetite increased.
