U.S. Department of Justice: 93 people detained
Washington, April 6 (Hibya) – The U.S. Department of Justice announced that a total of 93 individuals linked to organizations designated as foreign terrorist groups have been detained.
The U.S. Department of Justice reported that, within the scope of operations led by the ATF, a total of 93 individuals connected to structures defined as foreign terrorist organizations were detained.
In a statement from the Department, it was noted that among those detained were 45 individuals linked to Venezuela-based Tren de Aragua, 15 from the Sureños group, 11 from the Sinaloa Cartel, and 11 from La Nueva Familia Michoacana.
The statement also indicated that 4 individuals from Los Choneros, 3 from the Mara Salvatrucha (MS-13) organization, 3 from the Jalisco New Generation Cartel, and 1 from the Northeast Cartel were among those detained.
The U.S. administration stated that these groups are considered foreign terrorist organizations and emphasized that the fight against criminal organizations will continue.
