UNRWA: Only two fuel tankers can enter Gaza daily
New York, July 21 (Hibya) – The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) announced that only two fuel tankers can enter Gaza daily, and fuel levels remain critically low.
UNRWA stated that the summer heat has made water scarcity in Gaza even worse.
Due to continuous bombings and forced displacement orders, access to water wells is extremely difficult. Only two fuel tankers enter Gaza daily, with fuel levels remaining very low.
This means vital services, including water services, are at risk of shutting down.
The statement said: "Without fuel, UNRWA cannot deliver water to the people in Gaza. Lift the blockade."
