Tajani held a meeting with Al Sani
Rome, March 10 (Hibya) - Italy’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Antonio Tajani held a meeting with Qatar’s Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Sani.
Italy’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Antonio Tajani stated that he held a long meeting with Qatar’s Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Sani regarding the war in the Middle East.
Stating that Iran’s new attacks against Qatar are unacceptable, Tajani said: "Our common goal is to build a political solution to the crisis. We want to defend freedom of navigation and maritime security in the Strait of Hormuz."
Reiterating Italy’s full solidarity and closeness with the people of Qatar, Tajani noted the following:
"I thanked my counterpart for the assistance provided to Italian citizens in Qatar during this urgent period. We agreed to remain in close contact to support any negotiations and diplomatic efforts aimed at reducing tensions."
