Ukrainian President Zelensky: I proposed a Drone Agreement for the EU
Kyiv, May 13 (Hibya) - Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that Ukraine’s expertise in security and defense technologies is expanding globally and proposed a “Drone Agreement” to be implemented across the European Union (EU).
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky shared his assessments regarding diplomatic talks conducted on the defense industry and unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) technologies.
Drawing attention to the spread of Ukraine’s security expertise, Zelensky said, “Ukraine’s security expertise is already operating in the Gulf countries, the Middle East, and the South Caucasus, and this is only the beginning. We have also started this work in Europe, but not yet with all European countries.”
Referring to his initiative at the EU level, Zelensky stated, “I proposed a Drone Agreement for the EU – we discussed it with Ursula von der Leyen. But of course, it should be developed both at the level of European institutions and at the country level. It should be a multi-level system.”
Zelensky noted that everyone needs bilateral Drone Agreements.
