Ukraine's Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement regarding Romania's support for Ukraine.

The ministry stated that Romania's steadfast support is extremely valuable as Ukraine continues to confront Russia's ongoing aggression.

The statement noted that Russia's latest overnight attacks targeting civilian infrastructure resulted in numerous civilian casualties and stressed the importance of decisive action by the international community.

The ministry emphasized that a sustainable and just peace can only be achieved by increasing sanctions pressure on Russia, strengthening Ukraine's air defence capabilities, and ensuring accountability for those responsible for the crime of aggression. It added that these measures would also contribute to the security and stability of the Black Sea region and Europe.
