Ukraine criticizes Guterres: A wrong choice that does not advance the cause of peace
Kyiv, October 21 (Hibya) – The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine has reacted to United Nations (UN) Secretary-General Antonio Guterres's acceptance of Russian President Vladimir Putin's invitation to visit Kazan.
The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry stated that Guterres had declined Ukraine's invitation to the first Global Peace Summit in Switzerland.
In the statement, it was mentioned that Guterres accepted Putin's invitation to visit Kazan. "This is a wrong choice that does not advance the cause of peace and only harms the UN's reputation," the statement said.
The BRICS Leaders Summit will be held in Kazan from October 22 to 24.
