Turkish and Azerbaijani Doctors Gather in Baku
Health sector stakeholders from Turkey and Azerbaijan came together at a summit held on September 24th in Baku, Azerbaijan, by İncir Health and Bayındır Health Group in collaboration with the Oncology and Hematology Center. Doctors shared their knowledge and experiences through presentations, while healthcare institutions engaged in one-on-one meetings to establish new partnerships.
Turkey's healthcare institutions, located at the center of the global health sector, are taking Turkey's success to the international arena through events held abroad. Most recently, İncir Health and Bayındır Health Group, in partnership with the Oncology and Hematology Center, organized the Oncology and Hematology Congress in Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan, on September 24th. At the event held at the JW Marriott Baku Hotel, doctors presented their expertise while institutions and visitors engaged in one-on-one discussions.
Dr. Fedak ar Günsili, CEO of İncir Health, made the following statement about the event: "Together with Bayındır Health Group, we took action to bridge leading surgeons and healthcare institutions in Azerbaijan with our counterparts in Turkey. We brought together nearly a thousand doctors, hospitals, clinics, insurance companies, and travel agencies from both our country and Azerbaijan under one roof. Our participating doctors showcased their expertise through presentations, while our local institutions had the opportunity to create networks for new agreements."
Cem Talas, Deputy General Manager of Bayındır Health Group, said, "Our country's healthcare sector is gaining momentum day by day. We organized a congress in Baku with İncir Health to increase our share in the healthcare sector and open doors to new partnerships. We hosted esteemed figures from the medical world, including Azad Kerimli, Chief Physician of the National Oncology Center of Azerbaijan. While our doctors made their names known internationally and promoted new partnerships, we created a dynamic environment. We are proud to represent Turkey in our brother country Azerbaijan and globally."
Successful Turkish doctors such as Dr. Ece Esin, Atilla Akbay, Prof. Dr. Ali Uğur Ural, Prof. Dr. Okan Akhan, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ebru Hatice Ayvazoğlu participated in the Oncology and Hematology Congress. Presentations were made in the fields of general surgery, obstetrics and gynecology, oncology, and hematology. In addition to health tourism promotion booths and B2B seminars for participating institutions, three different concepts were implemented, including bilateral business meetings.
