Tsahkna: More than 650 Ukrainian athletes and coaches have been killed by Russia
Tallinn, February 18 (Hibya) – Estonian Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna said it is shameful to allow Russian and Belarusian athletes to participate in the Milano-Cortina Paralympic Games.
Estonian Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna described as shameful the decision to permit Russian and Belarusian athletes to compete in the Milano-Cortina Paralympic Games.
Stating that more than 650 Ukrainian athletes and coaches have been killed by Russia, Tsahkna said:
“Sport does not exist in a vacuum. Forcing Ukrainians to compete alongside representatives of the aggressor is morally unacceptable. The international sports community must defend human life, justice, and human dignity instead of normalizing aggression.”
