Tsahkna meets France’s Acting Minister for European Affairs Haddad
Tallinn, 2 February (Hibya) – Estonian Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna met with France’s Acting Minister for European Affairs, Benjamin Haddad.
Following his meeting in Tallinn with France’s Acting Minister for European Affairs Benjamin Haddad, Estonian Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna assessed relations between the two countries.
Emphasizing the shared vision of the two countries, Tsahkna said: “At a time of global turmoil, Estonia and France stand firmly together as like-minded partners on both NATO and European Union issues, remaining united in defending international law, sovereignty and territorial integrity.”
Providing information on the newly signed agreement, Tsahkna stated: “By signing the Strategic Partnership Roadmap, we reaffirmed our close cooperation and demonstrated our shared commitment to deepening cooperation in the fields of defence, innovation and culture, and to strengthening Europe’s overall security architecture.”
Expressing determination regarding policies on Ukraine and Russia, Tsahkna concluded: “Our discussions also focused on maintaining unwavering support for Ukraine and increasing political and economic pressure on Russia, including tighter restrictions on fossil fuel exports and stricter travel measures targeting Russian fighters.”
