US President Donald Trump announced his support for the reelection of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Trump's message dated October 18, 2026, was reposted by Gideon Sa'ar.

In his statement, Trump described Netanyahu as an important partner in confronting Iran and in efforts to achieve peace. Recalling Iran's threats against Israel and the United States, Trump argued that Iran's military and financial capabilities had been systematically weakened. Trump stated that the United States would continue its operations unless Iran quickly changed its policies.

Trump said Netanyahu had remained strong despite pressure and continued to serve in office, adding that if Israel chose another leader as prime minister, the United States might have to assume greater responsibility in efforts against Iran.

At the end of his message, Trump declared his full support for Netanyahu's reelection as prime minister and told the Israeli people that Netanyahu would not let them down.
