Three leading U.S. indices closed higher
Istanbul, February 19 (Hibya) - The three leading U.S. stock indices closed higher on Wednesday.
Despite uncertainty over Federal Reserve interest rates, the S&P 500 rose, led by Nvidia.
The S&P 500 gained on Wednesday, supported by advances in major technology companies, as investors assessed the minutes of the Federal Reserve’s latest policy meeting.
The broad-based index rose 0.56% to close at 6,881.31, while the Nasdaq Composite climbed 0.78% to 22,753.63. The Dow Jones Industrial Average closed up 129.47 points, or 0.26%, at 49,662.66.
Nvidia shares rose 1.6% after Meta Platforms announced on Tuesday that it would use millions of Nvidia chips in setting up its data centers.
