Third case against Trump dismissed
Washington, November 27 (Hibya) – A U.S. judge has dismissed the case filed against U.S. President Donald Trump, who was accused of interfering in the 2020 presidential election.
Trump was tried alongside eighteen individuals accused of attempting to influence the outcome of the Georgia election. All of them pleaded not guilty.
The investigation began five years ago, when the then–Georgia prosecutor announced plans to investigate whether Trump had attempted to influence the state's results.
The case also referenced a recorded phone call in which Trump asked a state official to “find missing votes” to gain an advantage over Biden.
In 2023, four criminal cases were filed against Trump, and two were dismissed after he returned to office. He was convicted in a bribery case but will not serve any prison time under that ruling.
