The US struck Yemen's capital, Sana'a
Stockholm, December 22 (Hibya) - The United States carried out several airstrikes on Houthi targets in Yemen's capital, Sana'a, including a missile depot and a control building.
The US Central Command (Centcom) announced on X: "Centcom forces conducted strikes aimed at disrupting and weakening Houthi operations, such as attacks on US Navy warships and commercial vessels in the southern Red Sea, Bab el-Mandeb Strait, and the Gulf of Aden."
The post also mentioned that during the operation, US defense forces shot down several drones and a naval missile over the Red Sea.
Central Command wrote: "This strike reflects Centcom's ongoing commitment to protecting US and coalition personnel, regional partners, and international shipping."
The airstrike occurred less than a day after a missile launched from Yemen hit central Israel. The Israeli army attempted to intercept the missile but failed.
