Tajani: Over a thousand archaeological artifacts successfully returned from Italy to Mexico
Rome, May 23 (Hibya) – Italy’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani made a statement at the National Museum of Anthropology.
Tajani announced that, thanks to cooperation between the Italian Carabinieri’s Cultural Heritage Protection Unit and the Mexican National Guard, more than one thousand archaeological artifacts have been successfully returned from Italy to Mexico.
“Thanks to the excellent cooperation in this field, we ensured the return of cultural assets that had been illegally transported back to their places of origin,” said Tajani, adding that a mutual agreement had been reached to further strengthen strategic cooperation on cultural heritage protection.
