Tajani: Italy plays a leading role in international initiatives for peace and stability
Rome, February 12 (Hibya) - Italian Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani, during a meeting with UNDP Administrator Alexander De Croo, emphasized Italy's commitment in crisis areas such as Gaza, Sudan, and the Sahel, and highlighted Africa projects under the "Mattei Plan".

Tajani said, "In the meeting this morning with UNDP Administrator Alexander De Croo, I reaffirmed Italy's commitment to the most fragile contexts in the world. From Gaza to Sudan to the Sahel, Italy plays a leading role in international initiatives for peace and stability."
Referring to Italy's strategic vision for Africa, the "Mattei Plan", Tajani said, "We aim to strengthen the private sector and agricultural-food supply chains to boost entrepreneurship in Africa, and to increase our commitment to crisis management and reconstruction interventions to support the stability and recovery of conflict-affected communities."
Tajani concluded his statement by saying, "We want to play an increasingly active role by strengthening Rome’s role as an international center for development institutions and as a strategic center for multilateral dialogue on Africa."
