Syrian President Shara spoke with French President Macron
Damascus, March 7 (Hibya) - Syrian President Ahmed Shara held a phone call with French President Emmanuel Macron.
A phone conversation took place between Syrian President Shara and French President Emmanuel Macron to discuss regional developments.
During the call, Shara reviewed Syria’s vision regarding the ongoing developments and emphasized that Syria’s defensive reinforcements on the Syrian-Lebanese border are aimed at protecting the borders and preventing arms smuggling or attempts to destabilize the region, underlining the importance of supporting the unity and sovereignty of Syrian territory.
The two sides stressed the need to prevent further escalation of tensions in the region and to avoid additional pressure, highlighting the importance of maintaining regional security and stability.
It was also noted that Iran’s unjustified attacks against some countries in the region were condemned, while emphasizing the need to respect the sovereignty of states and not endanger their security and stability.
The leaders agreed to continue consultations and coordination on regional issues of mutual interest in light of current developments.
