In his statement, Foreign Minister Sybiha congratulated Gerd Müller on his reappointment as UNIDO Director-General.

He expressed gratitude to UNIDO and to Müller personally for their support to Ukraine, noting that they welcomed the appointment of a Senior Coordinator for Ukraine and the initiative to establish a UNIDO Office in Kyiv.

Sybiha stated that they expect increased support from UNIDO, adding: “We rely on Director-General Müller’s leadership in advancing UNIDO’s assistance to Ukraine — from 3D-printed prosthetics for our defenders and civilians to humanitarian demining efforts — built upon the 188-million-dollar Ukraine technology transfer project.”

He emphasized the importance of expanding activities based on the 188-million-dollar technology transfer project, noting that despite Russia’s daily attacks on Ukrainian industry, Ukraine continues its struggle for freedom and dignity.

Sybiha added: “As Ukraine continues to defend its freedom and dignity despite Russia’s daily attacks on our industry, it stands ready to contribute further and strengthen resilience within the global UNIDO mission.”
