Montenegrin Prime Minister Spajic commented in a social media post on the government’s policies aimed at increasing wages in the country.

Spajic said that from the beginning of 2027, the minimum wage in Montenegro will be 1,000 euros, noting that this amount is four times the 250-euro level that prevailed before the “Europe Now 1” program.

Spajic said the difference rises to five times for jobs requiring secondary and higher education and, in some cases, to nearly six times, adding that the main aim of the wage policy is to make Montenegro a better country to live in.

Under the “Euro Model” announced by the Government of Montenegro, from January 2027 the minimum net wage will be 1,000 euros for jobs requiring basic or lower education, 1,250 euros for jobs requiring secondary education, and 1,400 euros for jobs requiring higher education.
