Shushkov attends DG TAXUD Customs Policy Group meeting
Sofia, July 9 (Hibya) - Director of the Bulgarian Customs Agency Nikolay Shushkov participated in the 110th meeting of the DG TAXUD Customs Policy Group held in Lille, France, where discussions focused on the EU customs reform and the new European Union Customs Authority.
Director of the Bulgarian Customs Agency Nikolay Shushkov participated in the 110th meeting of the Customs Policy Group organised by the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Taxation and Customs Union (DG TAXUD) in Lille, France.
The meeting covered the EU customs reform, the European Union Customs Authority, which is scheduled to become operational in 2028, and the fixed customs duty of 3 euros on small consignments that entered into force on July 1.
Shushkov said, “Bulgaria, France and Belgium share strong historical ties in the field of customs.”
As part of the programme, participants also visited the headquarters of the European Union Customs Authority in Lille.
