Selling pressure continues in the BIST 100
Istanbul, July 10 (Hibya) - İkon Menkul Değerler reported that the BIST 100 index ended the day with a 0.60 percent loss, adding that the cautious outlook in the markets continued following the pullback, which occurred amid low trading volume. Globally, investors continue to monitor the Fed's messages, inflation data, and geopolitical risks.
In its daily market assessment, İkon Menkul Değerler stated that selling pressure continued on Borsa Istanbul.
The BIST 100 index fluctuated between 14,053.48 and 14,275.09 points during the day and closed at 14,105 points, down 0.60 percent.
The assessment noted that the pivot level for the index stands at 14,144.67, while the support levels are 14,014.25 and 13,923.06, and the resistance levels are 14,235.86 and 14,366.28.
İkon Menkul Değerler also stated that the index traded 1.55 percent below its 5-day moving average and 1.56 percent below its 22-day moving average. It added that the latest trading volume was 18.60 percent below the average volume of the previous five days.
The near-term BIST 30 index futures contract also posted a decline. The contract traded between 16,908 and 17,284 points during the session and ended the day down 1.06 percent.
