Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez shared his assessment of the ceasefire declared in conflict zones and the process that follows.

Sanchez said, “Ceasefires are always good news, especially if they lead to a just and lasting peace. But this temporary relief must not make us forget the chaos, destruction, and loss of life.”

Taking a critical stance, Sanchez added, “The Spanish government will not applaud those who set the world on fire just because they come with a bucket of water for show.”

He concluded, “What must be done now is: diplomacy, international law, and peace.”
