Foreign Minister Saar said he held a phone call with Chile’s President-elect Jose Antonio Kast Rist and congratulated him on his victory in the presidential election.

Saar stated, “I told him that this success is of great importance not only for Chile, but also for relations between our countries, which unfortunately weakened during President Boric’s term.”

Noting that both sides agreed to work together to strengthen relations between Israel and Chile for the benefit of both countries, Saar said, “Israel today has many friends in Latin America, and we continue to strengthen these relationships every day.”
