Saar: Israel will prefer not to join the UN Human Rights Council
Jerusalem, February 5 (Hibya) - Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar stated that Israel will prefer not to join the UN Human Rights Council alongside the United States.
Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar stated that Israel will prefer not to join the UN Human Rights Council alongside the United States.
Saar made the following statement on the matter:
"The discrimination against us is completely evident: In the UNHRC, Israel is the only country with a unique agenda item dedicated to it. Israel has been subjected to over 100 condemnations, accounting for more than 20% of all council resolutions – more than the decisions taken against Iran, Cuba, North Korea, and Venezuela combined. Israel will no longer tolerate this discrimination."
