Saar: Israel embassy in the Republic of Fiji to open in 2026
Jerusalem, December 18 (Hibya) – Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar announced that an Israeli embassy will open in the Republic of Fiji in 2026.
Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar said he met in September in Jerusalem with the Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of the Republic of Fiji, Sitibani Rebuka, as part of the opening of Fiji’s Embassy in Jerusalem.
Saar said: “I informed Prime Minister Rebuka of my decision to open an Israeli embassy in Fiji. The Israeli embassy in the Republic of Fiji will open in 2026.”
Stating that the new embassy will strengthen ties between the two countries, Saar added: “The opening of the new embassy will strengthen the bonds between the two countries and will help consolidate our long-standing friendship, and increase our cooperation in development, the economy, security and many other fields.”
