Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar expressed his satisfaction with the new appointment.

Speaking about the appointment decision, Saar said, “I welcome Major General Roman Gofman’s appointment as head of the Mossad, and I believe this is good news for Israel’s security.”

Drawing attention to Gofman’s military and personal qualities, Saar said, “Roman is a typical Israeli patriot, an officer with an active security perspective, who understands broad geopolitical contexts and is deeply committed to Israel’s victory.”

Saar concluded his statement with the words: “Wishing you success, Roman!”
