Saar held a phone call with Panama’s Foreign Minister Vasquez
Jerusalem, March 29 (Hibya) - Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar said that in his conversation with Panama’s Foreign Minister Javier Martinez-Acha Vasquez, they discussed the fight against the Iranian regime and Hezbollah, as well as security cooperation.
Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar made a statement regarding diplomatic processes with Panama and legal developments related to the 1994 terror attack.
Expressing his satisfaction with the extradition process, Saar said: "I welcomed the extradition of Ali Zaki Hage Jalil from Venezuela to Panama. This is an important step in uncovering the role of Iran-backed Hezbollah in the 1994 terror attack on AC Flight 901 in Panama."
Drawing attention to the impact of the attack and its victims, Minister Saar said: "Most of those killed in the attack were members of the Jewish community, including 4 Israelis."
Calling on the international community to designate them as terrorist organizations, Saar said: "I called for Hezbollah and Iran’s Revolutionary Guards to be designated as terrorist organizations. I invited my friend to visit Israel."
