Russia says it has taken control of a settlement
Moscow, April 1 (Hibya) - As clashes between Russia and Ukraine intensify in Ukraine’s northeastern Sumy region, Russia announced that it had achieved a strategic gain, while Ukraine said it had halted the advance.
According to CCTV, Russia’s Defense Ministry said on Tuesday that it had taken control of a settlement in the Sumy region.
According to official data, Russian forces targeted a total of 158 sites over the past day, including energy and transport infrastructure used by the Ukrainian army, as well as UAV launch and storage areas.
It was also reported that Russian air defense systems shot down 384 fixed-wing UAVs and 9 guided aerial bombs, and struck temporary deployment points of foreign mercenaries.
On the same day, the Ukrainian side claimed that it was continuing its operations to prevent Russia’s attempts to advance deeper into Ukrainian territory.
