Russia and Ukraine continue mutual attacks
Moscow, February 10 (Hibya) – While the Russian Ministry of Defense announced that it had targeted Ukraine’s military and energy infrastructure, the Ukrainian side reported that it had shot down a large number of Russian UAVs.
According to CCTV, in a statement issued by the Russian Ministry of Defense on Monday, it was reported that over the past 24 hours, infrastructure of a Ukrainian military airfield, energy and transport facilities, as well as temporary deployment points of the Ukrainian army and foreign mercenaries were struck.
It was also noted that Russian air defense units destroyed 3 guided bombs and 72 fixed-wing unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) launched by Ukrainian forces.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine announced that as of Monday afternoon, 74 clashes had occurred along the front lines, with most of the fighting concentrated in the Pokrovsk direction. The Ukrainian Air Force reported that a total of 116 Russian UAVs were shot down or neutralized from Sunday evening to Monday morning.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov emphasized that Russia would not allow the deployment of any weapons on Ukrainian territory that could threaten its security interests.
Referring to diplomatic contacts, Lavrov stated that the position of the United States on the Ukrainian issue is important. He said that Russia had accepted the negotiation proposal from the US, but that Washington was not ready to accept the proposals put forward by the Russian side.
