Rubio: Progress made in talks with Venezuela’s interim administration
Washington, October 9 (Hibya) - U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio said he held a productive meeting with Dinorah Figuera, president of Venezuela’s 2015 National Assembly, and announced that progress had been made in talks with the interim administration.
U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio said following his meeting with Dinorah Figuera, president of Venezuela’s 2015 National Assembly, that progress had been made in negotiations with interim authorities in Venezuela.
Rubio said in his statement that concrete progress had been achieved in the first two rounds of talks with the interim administration following “Operation Absolute Resolve.”
Rubio said he expected progress to continue in the next round of talks, which will begin on October 14, and expressed hope that the process would contribute to lasting democratic change for the Venezuelan people.
