Qatar and Türkiye discuss regional developments
Qatari Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani and Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan discussed strengthening cooperation between the two countries and diplomatic efforts aimed at reducing tensions in the region.
Qatar's Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that Qatari Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Türkiye Hakan Fidan held a telephone conversation.
According to a statement issued by Qatar's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the two sides discussed cooperation relations between the two countries and ways to further develop them. They also reviewed the latest developments in the region.
The parties exchanged views on diplomatic efforts and joint coordination aimed at reducing tensions in the region and strengthening security and stability.
During the conversation, Qatari Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Al Thani reiterated Qatar's support for all diplomatic efforts and initiatives that would ensure freedom of maritime navigation and pave the way for a comprehensive agreement that would establish lasting peace in the region.
