Portugal and Namibia emphasize economic and diplomatic cooperation
Lisbon, May 5 (Hibya) - Portugal’s Foreign Minister Paulo Rangel met with Namibia’s Foreign Minister Selma Ashipala-Musavyi to discuss strengthening bilateral relations and exploring new areas of cooperation.
Portugal’s Foreign Minister Paulo Rangel, who paid an official visit to Namibia, met with Namibia’s Foreign Minister Selma Ashipala-Musavyi.
During the meeting, the development of relations between the two countries and the expansion of cooperation opportunities, particularly in the energy, construction, infrastructure, and tourism sectors, were discussed.
The parties also evaluated the growing importance of Portuguese language education in Namibia and Namibia’s interest in the Community of Portuguese Language Countries (CPLP).
At the meeting, which also addressed the international agenda, the importance of strengthening multilateralism and preserving the United Nations Charter was emphasized.
