In his statement on the occasion of International Holocaust Remembrance Day, Prime Minister Plenkovic said that they honor with respect and deep gratitude the six million Jews and all victims persecuted because of Nazi ideology. He stressed that conveying the lessons of the Holocaust to the education system and to younger generations is of vital importance for building a responsible and aware society.

Pointing to the importance of maintaining a culture of remembrance and respect for the victims, Plenkovic stated that the Croatian government strongly condemns the crimes committed during the Holocaust, continues the fight against antisemitism, and persists in promoting tolerance, mutual respect and understanding.
