On the occasion of International Holocaust Remembrance Day, European Parliament President Metsola welcomed Tatiana Bucci, who survived Auschwitz as a child, at the parliament. Bucci, who managed to survive after the horrific experiences she endured together with her sister Andra, is regarded as an inspiring example for humanity through her strength and resilience.

Describing Bucci’s presence as “a living reminder of what we must not forget,” Metsola also conveyed her thanks in Italian:

“Dear Tatiana, thank you for your strength. Thank you for sharing your story with the world from the European Parliament.”
