Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic met with Petra Bayr, President of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe. The meeting addressed the importance of democracy, the protection of human rights and the rule of law as foundations of peace, stability and European cooperation, with particular emphasis on the Western Balkans.

Plenkovic reiterated Croatia's strong support for Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity, emphasizing the importance of holding those responsible for Russia's aggression accountable.

Stating that Croatia would remain an active and constructive partner of the Council of Europe, Plenkovic said the country would continue working to protect shared European values and strengthen democratic institutions.
